House of Bishops Continuing Education Committee
Committee members are selected from within the House of Bishops Planning Committee to work with the College for Bishops in the planning, development, and implementation of continuing education sessions held at each meeting of the House of Bishops.

Ian-Douglas-web The Rev'd Dr. Ian T. Douglas
Ian is the Angus Dun Professor of Mission and World Christianity at the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. A mission activist and scholar, he is a member of the Executive Council, the priest Member of the Anglican Consultative Council for The Episcopal Church, and a member of the Design Group for the 2008 Lambeth Conference of Anglican Bishops.
   
The Most Rev'd Dr. Katharine Jefferts Schori
Bishop Jefferts Schori holds a B.S. degree in biology from Stanford University (1974), an M.S. (1977) and Ph.D. (1983) in oceanography from Oregon State University, an M.Div. from Church Divinity School of the Pacific (1994), and an honorary D.D. (2001) also from CDSP. Bishop Jefferts Schori brings to her ministry emphases on baptismal ministry and adult education. As Presiding Bishop, she will serve as chief pastor to the Episcopal Church’s 2.4 million members in 16 countries and 110 dioceses. As Primate, Bishop Jefferts Schori will join in consultation with other principal bishops of the 38 member Provinces of the worldwide Anglican Communion, seeking to make common cause for global good and reconciliation.
   
Lillibridge Formal The Rt Rev’d R. Gary Lillibridge
Gary is the bishop of the Diocese of West Texas. He was ordained as Bishop Coadjutor in February, 2004 and instituted as Diocesan in February, 2006. Prior to ordination he served as rector of St. David’s, San Antonio, Archdeacon for the diocese, rector of Church of the Advent, Brownsville, St. Paul’s, Brownsville, and St. James, Del Rio. He received his BS from SW Texas State University, his MDiv from Virginia Theological Seminary (1982) and a DD from both the University of the South and Virginia Theological Seminary.

The Rt Rev’d Edward S. Little II
Edward is the bishop of the Diocese of Northern Indiana. Ordained in 2000, he served previously in California as rector of All Saints, Bakersfield. He received his B.A. from the University of Southern California in 1968, his M.Div. from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in 1971. Following his consecration, he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree by Seabury-Western Theological Seminary.

   
Parsley Crop The Rt Rev’d Henry N. Parsley, Jr.
The Rt Rev'd Henry Nutt Parsley Jr. is the Bishop of Alabama. He was consecrated in 1996, having previously served as Rector of Christ Church, Charlotte, NC and in parishes in South Carolina. He received his BA from the University of the South, Sewanee in 1970 and his MDiv from the General Theological Seminary in 1973. He serves as Chancellor of the University of the South and as Chair of the Theology Committee of the House of Bishops.

Michael Smith

The Rt Rev’d Michael G. Smith
The Rt Rev'd Michael G. Smith is the eleventh bishop of North Dakota. An enrolled member of the Potawatomi Nation of Oklahoma, he served churches in Oklahoma and Minnesota before moving to North Dakota. He holds degrees in psychology, music, social work and theology from Oklahoma State University, Marymount College of Kansas, the University of Oklahoma and Seabury-Western Theological Seminary.
   
John Rabb The Rt Rev’d John L. Rabb
John L. Rabb was elected Bishop Suffragan of Maryland on March 28, 1998. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, Bishop Rabb received a B.A. in history from DePauw University in 1966, a M.A. in history from the University of Iowa in 1969 and an M.Div from the Episcopal Divinity School in l976. He has done continuing education with the College of Preachers, the Institute for Servant Leadership, the Alban Institute and the Franciscan International Study Centre.
   
ThomasShaw The Rt Rev’d M. Thomas Shaw III, SSJE
The Rt Rev'd M. Thomas Shaw, SSJE, was consecrated Bishop of The Diocese of Massachusetts in 1994 In 1975, he entered the Society of St. John the Evangelist, a religious order of priests and lay brothers in the Episcopal Church. Life professed in the society in 1981, he was elected superior in 1983. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from General Theological Seminary in New York and a Master of Arts degree in theology from the Catholic University of America.
